Feeling better today

I called the lactation consultant this morning and feel a lot better. She wants me to check with my insurance about having a home visit. The ACA allows up to 6 visits on some insurance companies. Before doing that I am going to try pumping for 48 hours and see how that goes. She said that sometimes giving the nipples a rest may help. While it stinks that I am having trouble, I am still glad that I have milk for her. I am just not sure how much to offer her.

We also started using our cloth diapers today. They seem huge on her, but I know they are supposed to be bulky. We have bummis covers and diapers. The newborn cover seems tight but the small pretty much falls off. I'm sure we will get the hang of this too. Once she is bigger we have both AIO and Pocket diapers.

Our last two nights have been much better, we are still getting the hang of things. We used a long sleeve onesie with socks and a swaddleme wrap, instead of just the fleece sleeper. I am not sure that made a difference. DH is going back to work tomorrow after two extra days off. I am thankful for this crazy cold/snow. Not only did DH get to stay home, now I don't have to have any unpaid days. My mom is going to come over tomorrow to help me.

I'm so glad you are feeling better today! It takes time, but I'm sure things will continue to get better/easier for you.
