Refridgerating pump parts?

I saw this recommended to someone on here at some point and can't find it now. How long are the good for after you put them in the fridge? I pumped this morning, and had to pump just now. I fell asleep and my right breast was hard as a rock. I just pumped 7.5 oz and would really like to be able to keep the milk!

I've been washing them once a day.

I wash mine once a day at roughly the same time each day.

Just wondering but when you put the parts in the fridge do you rinse then first with water or just put them straight into fridge?

OP, hope you dont mind me asking a ques on your thread too . . . Do you all just lay the parts on your fridge shelves or put them in a container or something else?

Well I'm glad other ppl got good use out of this post too! I've been putting mine in a ziplock bag unrinsed. It stays for 24 hrs then I wash. I blew my mind when I heard this though. I do however put a new shield on it everytime, bc I don't want the cold touching my breast.
