So I just woke up and peed, and when I wiped it was a little slippery, so I look and there's some fairly substantial light red(dish brown) material on the TP. ?When I got up, there was some period-ish tissue of the same color loose in the toilet. ?I had some very light spotting for a while earlier on, but that ended by about week 7, I think.
I did spend about 17 hours on my feet yesterday working. ?And I didn't eat nearly enough or drink enough water throughout the day. ?I am not cramping at all so I'm not too freaked out, but what do you think?
Re: Should I be worried? (TMI question)
I don't know what it means. Blood *might* mean trouble. Bright red = bad. Clots = bad. Pain/cramps = bad.
On the other hand, I know a lot of nesties get light spotting the whooole 9 months and it doesn't mean anything. It sounds lovely to just never know when your body is going to ruin a pair of underwear.
If it were me, I would rest, drink water and call either the OB's office or the nurse hotline to get some medical advice.
Well it's easy for any of us to say "don't be worried". Miscarriage comes in all shapes and sizes as far as the bleeding is concerned. That having been said, I would DEFINATELY stay off your feet today. Literally - on the couch with your feet up, lady!
Drink lots of water...
And definately call your doctor in the morning.
The good news is that you're over 12 weeks, so the likelyhood of m/c has dropped significantly for you. I would bet you just worked too hard yesterday.
Hang in there and keep us in the loop.
I had some bleeding issues early on as well, but they had definitely stopped by 12 weeks... I would probably call your doc, and even consider making a trip to the hospital. They can do an ultrasound there and just make sure that everything is going the way it should. If nothing else, tell your dh that you cant work today and stay off your feet (like completely off your feet except to pee) and drink lots of water.
Now that you're knocked up you may want to not work those 17 hour days anymore...
I think you should call your dr as a precaution
You have a physically demanding job and you might need to adjust your work so that you don't find your self on bed rest later on
Easter 2011
You should definitely call your doctor. It oculd be nothing, or it could be something. No sense worrying or guessing when your doc can give you the real answer. I hope you and the baby are OK.
Thanks ladies. ?I talked with an L&D nurse at Harborview and also with the on call OB with my clinic. ?They both said the same thing as all you wise women, so I've covered my shift at work tonight and I'm relaxing. ?Good news is that the subsequent trips to the bathroom haven't shown any more spotting and I haven't had even one cramp. ?I'm sure I just taxed my body too much yesterday.
Lynch - yeah... no more long, long days for me. ?But New Year's is our biggest night of the year and I didn't really have a choice. ?Fortunately there won't be a need for those hours again until next New Year's. ?And by then, there will be a baby to stay home with, so I may not have to work at all. ?:)
Thanks again. ??
