Mucusy sounding nose?

So Zaiden sounds like he has mucus/boogers in his nose but when I look there is nothing to suction. Has this happened to anyone else's LO? What did you do?

In our experience, this was one of our first signs of reflux.. always sounded congested, but never had anything.. does he give you difficulty feeding?  It also could just be nothing.

He seems fine besides the congestion. Eating, sleeping, going to the bathroom, all normal. I have a call in to the pedis office to see what they think. Hopefully it's nothing but any little thing has me paranoid. Thanks for your suggestion.

I'm using the bulb. I didn't know about pinching the opposite side. Thanks for the tip. I talked with the nurse and she said it was probably just a little mucus back to far to see but we scheduled an appt for tomorrow just to ease my mind.

DS had mucous for a while after birth and then again when he got his first cold. We can't always see it. I prefer to just put some saline drops in his nose. DH likes to use the Nose Frida. We only use the bulb when we can actually see a booger or something.

Is Z sneezing? That's been DS's best way of moving mucous and we don't tend to hear much mucous without some sneezing shortly after we start to hear it.

Z sneezes a lot. Probably a few times a day, I'll have to pay attention to when he sneezes and see if he is more mucusy around that time. Thanks HH. He was just crying and moved a big booger up that we were able to get out with the bulb, but he's still the same.

Ours have the same thing...we were told Saline nose drops/mist. Hopefully your dr. will have some advice...I would love to know what else to do if she tells you something different!

Zaiden had his doctors appointment and he isn't sick (thank god!) His lungs are clear and his oxygen level is perfect. She gave us saline drops to use and see if that helps and said to call if he doesn't get better. It seems he isn't really congested when he is up right, it's mostly when he's lying in his bassinet. I ordered a nose frida, so hopefully that will be better than the bulb. Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
