C-sections

My baaaack!

I had an emergency csection about 9 days ago and my back is still killing me. I walk all hunched over bc it hurts to stand straight. Is this normal? Even the Percocet doesn't seem to help. I also think its causing a pinched nerve shooting random pains to my shoulder. Ugh

Re: My baaaack!

  • Hmm that doesn't sound right... Is it upper or lower back pain?  I don't remember having any back pain after either of mine.  In fact, I remember my back feeling MUCH better since I wasn't carrying a watermelon in front anymore!  Are you BF?  How's your posture?  With my second, I had terrible posture during BF and ended up really messing up my shoulders/neck.  It took months to undo the damage.  And what about your bed?  Is it too soft?  If none of these explain it, I'm thinking that maybe you should at least call your doc... not sure if it's serious but this seems little odd to me.

For some reason i walked hunched over for a while after, and as pp mentioned, my bf posture worsened it, so i had some back pain, and posture to relearn. I also saw the chiropractor a few times. That was enough to fix it for me, thankfully.
The shoulder pain makes me nervous, though, and I'd call the dr. asap. I'm sure it's nothing, but better safe than sorry (and they can probably help you fix it before it gets worse!).

  • I had the same pain after my c-section and kept thinking it was from the spinal/surgery. After 3 months of trying the chiropractor and meds I went to the doctor and found out it was actually my gallbladder. Maybe worth checking into!
