I'm seriously curious about this.
Why is it that women continue to refer to their children in months after one year? I recently heard a woman say "My 29 month old". I was confused; why not just say Two and a half? Is it simply habit carried over from counting months as they grow up? Is there some benefit to saying it (iono, providing more info to other moms?) that I just don't get cause I'm not one? I really have no idea!
