About how long does it take to thaw a 3 oz bag in the refridgerator? I am preparing to go back to work in a few days and not sure how long it takes. Also when they say it is only good for 24 hours after, is that immediately after out of freezer or once it is liquid form again?

It's once there's no ice in it- so don't start the 24 hours when it's still slushy. 

We always just thaw in warm water instead of the fridge, so I'm no help with the other question.

My DD#1's daycare didn't care if it was frozen or thawed, but I would thaw it and ask them to use it before the fresh.  I would put it in the refrigerator around 9pm and it was thawed in the morning by 7am.  

When DD#1 stayed home with Dad, I had him just thaw it in water right before using it.

I've never timed it, but I let the bags thaw in the fridge overnight and pour them into bottles in the morning. If baby doesn't drink the milk that day, I will dump it. Or use it in place of evening nursing and then pump when baby is in bed.

I don't know if my fridge is super cold or what, but I thawed overnight and it was still somewhat solid in the morning and still had to heat in water.
