Wondering what all the mommies are using. I have to use the bulb pretty much daily on my LO and she screams. For those who have used the frida, do your LOs not cry as much?
LO has a cold right now and I use the bulb. He SCREAMS and then purple screams and then I have to plop him on my chest to calm him down. Every 4 hours we do this. Interested in this thread for sure.
I haven't had much luck with the nose frida; I usually had to go back to the bulb, but that could easily be because I need more finesse when using it. For my guy, they were equally upsetting.
And I second what sing2phins said. Suctioning can cause swelling in nasal passages and exacerbate the difficulty breathing, so make sure to only suction judiciously.
@Sing2phins - I only use the bulb when I can see snot or boogers up her nose, which is pretty much one nostril or the other daily. With the reaction I get from her, I only use it when necessary, and I dread it then cause I know it's going to upset her. Believe me, if I didn't need to do it, I wouldn't! Just wondering if the Frida is any less traumatic.
We have the electric nasal aspirator by Graco once you turn the music on it doesn't bother her. I love it when I ised the bulb suction she screamed but with the electric one we haven't had a problem
I prefer the bulb when it's just one booger; it's easier to get it in there and she doesn't fight it. I haven't tried the Nosefrida for serious congestion, but for the small stuff it's tricky - it needs two hands and she shakes her head back and forth!

We have both, he hates both. Saline makes ALL the difference. We had to suction daily when LO first came home from the NICU, but as soon as I started using the humidifier the need was gone! You might want to try a humidifier if you aren't currently using one (especially if you are getting the insane cold weather).
We have both-- one on the changing table and one by my glider. Each have their pros and cons as PP have mentioned. The saline has saved us though! It breaks it up so much that our LO sneezes most of it out. We use a few drops on each side and then wait about 10 minutes to suction. It works like a charm!
