Transition from RnP to crib

Intro... I'm new to this board from Sept 2013. DD is 3.5 mos old.

We successfully transitioned her from a bassinet in our room to her crib about a month ago. Then she got a horrible cold and I let her sleep in her RnP for a week... Just because the poor thing was so congested that I thought the incline would be helpful. Apparently, I screwed myself because getting her to sleep in her crib now is a nightmare! I'll put her down for the night around 9-930pm, and she wakes up crying every 15-20 mins until at least midnight. I can soothe her very quickly back to sleep and then she's crying again 15 mins later. This has been going on for the last 4 nights. If I put her in the RnP, she's totally fine. She is still swaddled at night...
Any advice for a smoother transition?!

  • Agreed with previous poster. I also think if you just keep doing what  you are doing, she'll eventually go back to sleeping in the crib. Just gotta be patient and consistent.  Good luck!

  • I just went cold turkey last night and he adapted quickly...I did put a white noise machine in there with a ceiling projector and he seems to really love that! Good luck

  • I'm right with you on this one except Lo loves his swing.  He has such bad post nasal drip, it causes him to not sleep well.  I did buy a mattress wedge and put it on one end.  He still only sleeps for 2 hours before waking again in the crib.  I've put him back in the swing for last night and tonight due to the weather.  I am in the South, and it's 10 degrees at night.  NOT use to this crap! LO is like me and hates the cold.  So..... guess we will start trying Wednesday!
