Question for those who used Donor Sperm

DH and I found out on Thursday that we are having a boy.  We are both super-excited, though DH was convinced it was a girl for a long time.  I can't help but worry that DH is a little upset that we are having a boy.  With a girl, he might be more able to "forget" that we used a donor, but with a boy, I worry about him - I worry that he might "see" the donor in our son.  I don't want to say anything to him because if he's not thinking anything like that I don't want to put that into his head.  Has anyone else had any experience with feelings like this?  I'm betting this is mostly me and not him... but I can't help but worry.

Dx: Unexplained Azoo; all blood work normal (including chromosomal abnormality screens); no blockages; 2 SAs with zero sperm, TESA/TESE - no sperm found, likely never produced

Beta #1 9/19 (16dpiui) 144 hCG; 19.6 progesterone - Crinone to increase levels; Beta #2 9/23 (20dpiui) 705 hCG; 19.6 progesterone - continue Crinone; Beta #3 9/30 (27dpiui) 8355 hCG; 16.1 progesterone - continue Crinone
U/S #1 10/8 Awesome ultrasound!  1 healthy, growing little bean.  H/R 128bpm, measuring 6 weeks, 6 days!; U/S #2 10/21 Just as awesome!  H/R 179bpm, measuring 8 weeks 6 days!; Surprise U/S #3 10/28 - still moving along!  Measuring 9 weeks 5 days; 12 week U/S & NT Scan 11/13/13: one wiggly, jumpy, kicking, punching, thumb sucking little bean!!!  Scan looks good, normal measurements.  :)  H/R 170 bpm; 12/11: Doppler registered H/R at 150 bpm; 12/20: Underlying Chronic Hypertension - Methyldopa to control BP; 1/2/2014 - It's a boy!!!!  Everything looks awesome!

    We too used donor sperm. If this is what he truly wanted he is going to love his son no matter what. It's not the sperm that raises a child it's a loving father. It's going to be fine hun. Best wishes!

    Hey, I was searching posts from couples who used Ds.  We just started DS this week since I'm completely done emotionally and financially with our failed IVFs...
    I seem a lot more concerned about things like you just mentioned.

    How have you been able to keep it to yourself and or comfort him if it does creep through?


    Me (28) DH (34) actively TTC since 2010

    2011 dx by RE: Severe mfi- Treatment option: IVF w/ ICSI ( I declined the RE recommendation to use ds),  2012  IVF#1 w/ICSI long Lupron protocol + follistim + menopour.  Transferred 2 day 3 embys, ended in early m/c, 2013 IVF#2 w/ICSI bcp, lupron, & a lot of friggin follistim. Received a call the morning of transfer that they ceased, 2014  1/11/14 -cycle day 1, unmedicated AI w. DS.  AI #1 1.23.14, scheduled again for 1.25.14, & 1.27.14
