New in WA with a question

I'm Christina and DH and I are gearing up to start TTC. This will be our first time ever. We're both engineers and like having a plan. DH is a marine engineer who is gone 6 months out of the year. We are hoping to really start in April (due to his schedule, it's the first time he's home during guesstimated OV time). I'm starting to track BBT and CM and plan on getting OPKs after a bit more research. Here's my question, before getting on implenon (I also sailed and found it hard to get BC in Kuwait) AF was regular and usually lasted 5-6 days. I've been off BC for 2 cycles now and I'm averaging 4 days. My cycle is still averaging 28 days but AF has been light and short. (At least compared to the past) will this make it harder to figure out when I'm OV? I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post! If it is, please direct me to the correct board. TIA Christina

  • As long as you are tracking your BBT, it shouldn't make it any harder to figure out when you O.

  • Tracking your temps will give you the most information. Cycle length doesn't mean much, although your luteal phase does. Good luck!
