Cerclage Removal

Hi ladies! I get my cerclage removed in office next Wednesday. I've read the other threads related to it but I thought of something I haven't seen yet and failed to ask my OB. TIA for any stories!

Did your OB have you hang out in the waiting room for a period of time and then check for dilation before you left? Or did s/he just high-five you on the way out and say "see you in l&d or next week, whichever comes first?"

I didn't specifically ask, but I was under the impression it will come out, and then we leave and wait for things to start happening. Mine comes out on the 13th.

She high five me on the way out and said "See you later"  lol your cervix would show dilation as soon as they remove the cerclage if indeed your body was attempting to dilate. I dilated to one finger tip once removed. I didnt give birth till 39.2wk it was an elective c/s so i could have went even longer...

Great to know @kneenah1231! My ob thinks I'll go to a 2-3 upon removal, hence my wondering at timing.

I'm having mine removed on the 23 rd at the hospital n my OB said he will monitor me for an hour to make sure I'm not contracting n then send me home
