I hate car seats!

I have spent the last hour trying to tighten the graco mysize 70 car seat in our back seat. It still moves a lot. I can't get it to tighten anymore. I'm going crazy. I'm about to throw it out of the car. I'm so frustrated. I hate this! How the heck am I supposed to tighten it?!!!!!!!

  • We had the same problem with a Safety First seat. We gave it away and bought a Britax! Good luck!

  • Latch or seatbelt? Mine is pretty easy to tighten, but I have it installed in a bucket seat with latch. I use my knee/leg to put weight into the seat while I tighten. I'm trying to remember exactly what the connection is like since ours was installed almost a year ago. I know for some there's a button you almost have to push in while you tighten... Sometimes just pulling from a different angle will help.

  • Put ya back into it ;) \:D/
  • So, the only problem I had installing my Britax was that somehow the fabric straps accidentally folded in half and then couldn't be pulled through the buckle... make sure that didn't happen.  It was like cement until I figured out the problem.

  • Sometimes that is an issue if the seat isn't level. You might need a rolled up towel or pool noodle to help level the seat so you can tighten it. Those things are super frustrating to install though.

  • My husband was able to fix it by putting the rolled towel underneath....is that ok? Is it safe? Now I'm worried.

Its safe, DH installs seat at the fire dept and they use pool noodles and towels as needed.
