sleepy eater?

I FINALLY got my 2 and a half week old to latch today. The only problem now is that he last about 2 minutes and then falls asleep! I try to wake him but he just takes another suck or two and returns to sleep. Then, when I put him down he sleeps for a couple of minutes and then wakes up crying for more. I've been pumping all of his meals so i know that I'm producing enough, How do I keep him awake long enough for him to become satisfied?

I should mention that he's been nursing like this for about an hour and a half straight.

Also I would undress him down to his diaper

I second all the recommendations above and also suggest stroking your finger along his chin line/gently stroking/tapping his neck under his chin if he stops nursing/falls asleep - this was a trick the LC at the hospital gave us to stimulate his sucking reflex.
