I have some leftover bread squares from the cheese fondue we made last night so I was going to make some homemade croutons for a side salad for a chicken dish I am making tonight. I want to make something other than garden salad which we do alot and I would do caesar b/c it's easy but we are out of caesar dressing. I was thinking the croutons, grated parm, avocado and pine nuts but IDK, think that would be good together? What do you like?
Re: What do you like on your salad?
shredded cheese, avocado, chinese crispy noodles
or
beets, black olives, onions, mild peppers
I'm not a fan of croutons or meat on my salads
Croutons, broccoli, avocado, cheese, cucumber, tomato.
Fresh and Easy makes a salad that I love it has walnuts, bleu cheese, cranberries, and shredded carrots.
I know it may sound generic but I love Dole's Harvest Blend Bagged Salad, it's lettuce, carrots, cabbage, cranberries, nuts, & an apple dijon dressing. I could eat it for every meal, too bad it's $4 a bag.
