First RE Consult!

So I had a consult scheduled with the RE on 1/30.  (I'm 37 and single so going it alone with donor sperm).  They just called me this morning to tell me they had a cancellation on Monday.  I took the appointment and I'm excited since this lets me get the ball rolling one cycle earlier. I'm also freaking out about what to expect and what questions to ask.  I've never tried to conceive so I don't know that I have any issues (besides the lack of a man!) but I suspect that I may have PCOS. I'm looking for a plan that is aggressive since I'm 37 but not more aggressive than it needs to be (if that makes any sense).  Any suggestions about what to ask or advice for the appointment would be appreciated.

I just seen re first time for month of Dec ...he had me do clomid 5-9(cd's) , hsg to make sure everything clear and tubes, then hsg trigger. Then 1gm of folic acid. He told me this was a moderate approach...using a test make sure I was ok, then some monitored medical intervention;)...just giving you an idea of what some of us have done....good luck with your appointment:)

Good luck with your appointment - it's a great step. I've had 2 friends go through an RE and successfully conceive. We are going tomorrow to an RE for our first appointment as well! I'm also excited yet nervous.

Hi....I would just go in prepared to share and listen. Most 1st appointments involve exam, bloodwork, insurance and outlook on expectations. There's no pressure but a through look at where you are at and where you want to get to. The process can be long or short so just be patient and things will go well. Good luck! I know things will work out for you.
