TTC?

I've read a lot of comments lately about people starting to TTC soon. So, who has started trying or when do plan on starting (if you are at all)?

We aren't NOT trying at this point. I just had my first PP period the week before Christmas, but it was extremely light. I'm still BFing several times a day so I'm not sure if I'll have another period next month, but I do think I'm ovulating based on some recent body changes. 

I haven't been on BC but we've been doing the pull n' pray with the lack of a period, but now I've had a period and we aren't doing any type of prevention. I'm doing the ovulation strips test this month just to see IF I'm ovulating. After this month, if I do find that I'm ovulating, then I'm going to stop any type of tracking and just let whatever happens happen. I'm totally fine with not getting pregnant right away, but would happy if it happened as well. I am super nervous about the thought of taking care of two little humans though! I don't think that ever won't scare me so might as well go ahead and take the leap.

I stopped my bc in December. I am not tracking/charting in any way. We vowed never to stress over what day to have sex. So, we aren't preventing but not "actively trying" either. We will be excited and happy whenever it happens.

That's a good plan to me. We are must likely one and done. But as John Lennon said Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans. Plus BC makes my skin flawless!! Shallow but it's true! Lol.

Heck no! I need more time to get over the newborn stage! It scarred me for life...maybe in another year or 2 or 3...

We have been trying when I show signs of ovulating. Which are few and far, as expected due to the PCOS. And since I only have one working tube I really didn't expect to get lucky. We are in peak fertility time right now but I was so sick we did not put any effort into trying this round.

We meet with the IVF doctor on the 20th to see about doing a FET.  We only have enough for one attempt so I am really trying to think positive.

@Chickie79 we probably can't either....but if we wait for that day it would never happen. God willing, As it is I will be 41 when this LO arrives.

@perspehonerose we will include you in our prayers each night. Some positive thoughts for you. One of my colleagues at school only has one ovary/working tube and she just found out she is pregnant (they have 2 and weren't trying). This time...it's twins! So I'll hope some of that luck comes your way!

@JkVoght the actively trying and stressing about when is THE WORST!

Nope... we are done, for many reasons. 

The biggest being the IF factor, even though DD was a surprise on an off treatment cycle, the liklihood of that happening again are nil.  Others are: not enough rooms in our house (and they are too small to share, and I've been renovating since we moved in in 2007 and I'm not in the mood to do more), and SS didn't handle the transition well and I don't think it would go over well again, and age (DH is 43, he ain't no spring chicken!).

Im 34 and would like to start trying this summer - I was told to wait 18 mo for a VBAC so May would be the earliest we try...if we were to get preggs tomorrow I wouldnt be sad but Id prefer to wait a little longer...Im having too much fun

If we were financially in a better place, I would be ready to start trying probably around the summer or near DS's second birthday. We both want more LOs, but we just cannot afford it right now. Hopefully by the time by Mirena "expires" we will be financially stable and in a location where we can grow with our family.

When DH was getting ready for surgery I thought how nice it would be when he was all done to have a pregnancy a few months down the line. Now that he's recovering I'm thinking maybe next summer or fall we will ttc.

We planned to start TTC in the spring, but I've got serious baby rabies RIGHT NOW. :!!

We're not preventing, but I also haven't had a PP period and dont think that Im even ovulating yet.

We are currently TTC but aren't putting too much effort into it yet. If it doesn't happen in a few months we will put more effort into it. I'm still BFing and have only had a couple periods so far. I have baby fever big time. doesn't help that my crazy sister is prego again (major surprise as their financial situation is horrible and her first is 17 months old and she can't handle the stress if him.. they supposedly were using double protection but that's a whole other story/rant!)

I think I'm one and done. DH keeps saying he wants another one and I kinda remind him if that's the case we are going to need to move to a bigger house. That changes his mind. Maybe in a couple years I'll think differently, but I have time.

I want sammie 2.0 in the worst way BUT need to have a job that allows maternity leave first... really wish we had started the family stuff earlier, like when I was gainfully employed and younger.. but if it happens at 40 or 41 I won't be sad if our other ducks (finances and living situation) are in a row

I would love to start soon, but DH wants to wait until DD is 2 or 3. We come from different experiences, so it's hard - my sister and I are nearly 10 years apart so I would DD to have a sibling closer in age. DH is an identical twin so while he loves having a brother he wishes they had space between them.

Maybe we can compromise and start this summer while on vacation!
