When did you stop taking progesterone?

For those of you that were on progesterone, when did your RE take you off of it? I am almost 9 weeks and had an u/s yesterday. Everything looked great & they did bloodwork to test my progesterone levels then called me later and said I could stop taking it. I'm just really nervous to stop because with my last pg my OB kept me on it throughout the whole 1st tri. Thoughts??

I stopped at 10 weeks but they never took my levels so I am not sure if I could have come off it sooner.

They wanted me off it at 9 weeks and my OB said he rather by safe and keep me on it. I think some OBs get extra cautious with ivf pregnancies in the beginning and it easy to keep you on it. That's probably why your Ob kept you on it before

Mine gave me a blood test at 9 weeks, and started weaning me off it then.  I was off completely at 11w3d.  They're giving me a blood test today at 12w to make sure levels are okay.

I go off at 14 which seems way too long if you ask me. With DD and my IVF, I went off at 12. All times I did not or will not have levels checked.

13 weeks with no blood work, but they did wait until after my nt scan. Last Friday am was my last dose. Woo hoo!! I do not miss that! I had some gnarly discharge the next day (brown muscousy stuff, which maybe had been there before but masked by the constant yellow progesterone drainage?? Nothing since).

I stopped at 9 weeks, no weaning and no blood test.

Crinone I stopped at 8w, pio at 12w, prometrium between 18-20w(I can't remember)

I stopped at 12 weeks.  My RE was gave me the option to stop cold turkey in week 9 but instead we decided to wean until week 12.  I was really worried since I had some bleeding episodes so he worked with me to make me feel more comfortable.

I stopped PIO at 10 weeks and switched to crinone for 2 weeks. Stopped all meds at 12 weeks.

My RE released me teo my OB around 8 weeks and said that stopping meds was up to them. If you want a second opinion, you may want to give your OB a call to see if they have a different policy than your RE.

My RE wanted to start weaning me at 9w to stop at 10w. It made me nervous though so she agreed to let me continue weaning until 11w and stop. I'm in the weaning phase now.

My RE actually had me stop progesterone (no weaning) after my 2nd beta (so around 4-5 weeks). I thought this was super early based on what I had heard from others but when I asked them why they said that my progesterone level was great (they had measured it when they did my beta) and that my body was producing enough on its own to sustain the pregnancy. And I am now 15 weeks and haven't had any issues with stopping the progesterone.

I stopped progesterone at 12 weeks but I think I stayed on Baby Asprin a few weeks after that yet.

RE stopped both progesterone and baby aspirin at 9 weeks.  No weening, no blood tests.  She said the placenta is fully developed and has taken over progesterone production by then (from the luteum corpus).  I was on 600mg/day and was really worried about going off it cold turkey, but I didn't have so much as a single spot.

Bloodwork every week since bfp. Just stopped my crinone at 10 weeks, plan is to stop the prog suppository next week if bloodwork still looks good.

Having twins, not sure if that matters!

My RE was going to keep me on till 11 weeks, but I developed issues with the PIO shots and was able to stop at 9 weeks. He didn't run my levels, just assumed because they were twins I would be a-ok. Now I'm 15 weeks and no problems!

I was freaking out because my doctor told me to stop a few days before I was even 8 weeks! I did a couple extra doses till I was 8 weeks and then stopped and everything has been fine. I am 11 weeks now and my blood levels have been good. It's scary but i was actually so happy to not be doing the shots anymore. ..I was getting really sore!

I stopped at exactly 10w, no blood work or anything after.  I had actually graduated the RE around 8.5 weeks, so they told me to go until 10w and stop cold turkey.
