  • These bacon bowl posts are making me gag. Seriously, I usually love the stuff, but cannot deal since being KU.

Love ya, ladies - But hate your bacon talk. :)

  • I had a complete and total melt down last night. I have a 9 & 7 y/o that I can tell "hey is that where your dirty plate goes, no, go put it where it goes." " clean up you mess" and so on they do it. My DH (who was raised in a crazy over crowded house packed with junk and was a true blue redneck bachelor when we started dating) is worse than the kids! I clean clean clean clean to have to CLEAN up behind him. I had a melt down on him last night saying I had no clue how he expected me to be able to take care of the boys, twin newborns, and clean up after him AND work a 3rd shift job that requires 10+ hours a night 5-7 days a week here in a few months. Literally had both sinks full trash over flowing and his glasses sitting every where last night.

I don't mind cleaning right now, tho I am supposed to be resting as much as possible, the reason they took me out of work and put me on leave at 11.5 weeks.

These are his first babies, and first experience with a pregnant woman in his life and unfortunately we have a lot of bumps that we are having to ease over with this pregnancy and I don't think he seems to get it.

My DH is a good man loving and caring but I think he is just so used to the "not pregnant me" and still trying to break habits his mother allowed him to build that he is lost....

Love him with all my heart just really needed to rant and vent over it as stupid and silly as it may sound to everyone.

H is the same way. He is the sweetest person I know, and doesnt leave a mess on purpose...he legitimately just doesnt think about cleaning up after himself. Hes more than willing to do it when I point it out but I HAAAAATE being the nag. It makes me terrified for when our baby comes. Will we ever see clean again??
In my opinion, no , especially the older they get and the more you have.
Um, I thought the purpose of kids was to train them to clean and get you beer from the fridge...
LOL, seriously.  I told H I can't wait until our kids are old enough to do chores, especially for "extra" money...and then I can pay them to hang my clothes in the closet, which is my absolute least favorite chore of all time.

This is not a FFFC, but I need to post it somewhere... what the FUCK did I miss late last night and early this morning?!  I got through the bump/AW discussion so far.  Just started on the sex disappointment and haven't even grazed into FFFC.  AND I took a half day of work today.  It's going to take me all evening to catch up.  If kels shows up, please tag me so I'll get a notification.

Haha I think with the snow storm more of us are home to bump. It is kind of like a run away freight train today and I love it.

  • I don't like tea that has been steeped too long. Or any type of fruity tea. I also don't like pepsi, and Barc's root beer is the worst of them all.

  • These bacon bowl posts are making me gag. Seriously, I usually love the stuff, but cannot deal since being KU. Love ya, ladies - But hate your bacon talk. :)

With you 100% on this--my babies seem to hate bacon.  I will not hesitate from reminding them of that fact in the future when they are grown and I'm fighting for the final piece.
  • My FFFC is I get tired of people asking if I know what I'm having yet, I say yes a baby. And the fact that they think since we already have a boy we automatically will have a girl. No I don't care boy or girl, I want a healthy full term baby. I'm on temporary bedrest until Monday and have a feeling it may be more frequent as the pregnancy progresses. DS was premature and that had been my biggest fear with this pregnancy.

Oh and I'm already sick of bedrest. I have no idea how I did it for 8 weeks with DS.

DS #1 born January 2010. DS #2 due June 2014.

At least you don't have a baby you don't want because of what's between the legs ;) And - YH is probably liking the human aspect - not much to get douchy-disapointed about there
  • I am blaming my mood on my hormones. I don't usually do that but omg... I"m usually a very laid person, not this week.

I totally agree. Why are these popular? image
Thanks for the pic. Tell me I am not the only person that was like "what is a smocked outfit?". This is why gender stereotyping is silly since I have no clue about fashion but could you what this means:

I'm not sure exactly what FFFC entails. This may be more of a Twatwaffle Tuesday. I'm ready to strangle my DH. He just informed me that he's going to hire me a personal trainer after the baby because he knows I won't lose the weight on my own. I know he meant well but damn! Like a judge would understand justifiable homicide in this case right??
WTF! Seriously?!? Wow. That is dog house talk

  • I'm going for sushi tonight and I'm super excited. Also, my kids are staying all night at my mom's, and I kind of wish my husband was going to be gone too. I would love to watch what I want on tv/ be by myself all night long. It's been so long since I've been home alone.
  • I have zero motivation to work. And I actually have a lot of work to get done. I kinda just dgaf. And I'm having a horrible day and it's all my fault (burned toast, got a parking ticket tryin to drop my phone off to get fixed, broke off my side mirror - all preventable). And I'm so sick of my crabby attitude. Just snap out of it! You're life is great.

  • I have another one. Its after 4pm and I'm just now finding out we had cookies in the breakroom. Come on! Pregnant lady needs to know these things!

  • @brighteyes112 that is hilarious!!! Your DH knows the drill I know he felt bad..lol. It was sweet of him to be remorseful.

I distinctly remember DD #2 being about 6 months. I asked DH if I was still carrying baby weight from the pregnancy. Well he didn't have a wise answer he was all kinds of a-holes.lol...he knows now!!! The crazy part is I'm a size 2 normally a 4/6 post baby. I just hate when men/women comment on women's bodies negatively especially while pregnant. We are all beautiful...even if we look like the quick weight loss cartoon lady...lol!!

Yes my husband feels the same way I do. He just wants me to stop being a stressed out blubbering mess and try to cook this baby as long as possible. What's between the baby's legs is irrelevant to either of us. :)

Awesome! Grand Rapids - also in West Michigan? - is the 'mecca' of the Christian Reformed Church, and the Reformed Church of America which is/are (a) denomination(s) founded by and still predominantly identified as Dutch. Looots of families of Dutch immigrants in Michigan!

Yes, we live in a suburb of Grand Rapids, we were both born & raised in GR, it's so Dutch here we sometimes forget it's not the same everywhere else!

In reference to some pervious posts I don't think one chooses a gender. You either identify male or female its not a conscious decision. I understand what was meant but the wording of that really bothers me.
I totally agree. I'd go even further and say that gender really isn't dichotomous; you needn't be EITHER masculine OR feminine. Hybrid genders are the most common in our culture, and yet our society seems stuck on using polemic terminology. It drives me nuts.

I am also so tired of people asking me if I know what I'm having yet. I saw a bunch of friends I hadn't seen in awhile for New Years and every single person asked me. Do I need to be carrying a sign around with me??

  • #1: MIL is chomping at the bit to find out the sex so she can start knitting. Thing is: I HATE knitted baby items with a passion. I will never tell her. I plan on sending her a Pinterest link for knitted blankets only and hope she takes the nudge...

#2: I spent the majority of my xmas vacation (6 days) watching movies and napping. Then I went mental on DH today because he didn't take out the garbage before he went to work. I don't feel guilty, I just hope he doesn't say the word 'hypocrite'. He *might* be right, but I won't give him the satisfaction.  (I should have prefaced this with I work m-f 8-4 and he works 4 days a week doing mixed evening shifts between 4-8 hours).

My mom is the same! But, I love lots of knitted baby items... little baby cardigans, little baby booties, little baby afghans, little baby dresses... there are lots of pretty baby patterns out there! I think you should let your MIL know that you don't love knitted baby items and steer her towards some specific patterns that you would like. It can be a lot of work to knit something and I'm sure she'd prefer to make you something you would actually appreciate.

Confession: this is the worst thing my subconscious has ever done. I had a shower sex dream about Scott dissik (spelling??) last night. I don't understand. Of all the people in the world....

I can do you one better and its incredibly horrible to admit. Justin Beiber. No lie. I can't stand him and have never listened to his music or seen any footage or shows of him. Most random and disgustingly embarrassing thing ever. Didn't even tell my DH for fear or being mocked forever. Lol
