ClearBlue Fertility Monitor 'High' for 7 days in a row

The booklet says it'll read 1-5 days 'high' then 'peak'. I'm on 7 straight days of 'high'. I'm not worried, but am curious if other people have had this happen. For reference, it's my 2nd cycle post Mirena IUD. First cycle was ~33 days long (and had 1 'high' reading before the 'peak' readings). I'm currently on CD 12. Maybe I've just got a lot of estrogen because my cycles haven't stabilized yet.

  • This happens to me with the fertility monitor as well. Last cycle I had 13 days of high fertility. It's probably just still learning your cycle.

  • It is also possible to miss your surge if you have a short one.  Before I started using it, I would go from having a very negative OPK in the morning, to a very positive one in the later evening, and back to negative the next morning.  So if you surge later in the day, and it's short, the monitor could miss it.  I've kept OPKs on hand just incase this happened to me, but it hasn't.

To be safe, keep HIO!  Are you also temping to confirm ovulation?

  • It is totally normal for this brand to give several highs. Day 12 is still pretty early in your cycle especially just coming off BC.

ETA: it does take the monitor a few cycles to "learn". I personally think you started them too early given it limits the sticks it allows.

It's not possible to start too early with the monitor.  It tells you when it wants you to start testing.

  • If it makes you feel any better, I'm on day 10! I hate that stupid flashing smiley face...I'm relying on my positive opks (yesterday and today) and looking for a temp shift in the next couple of days. GL to you!

  • I am temping. No noticeable shift so far. I'm also trying to track CM, but I think that takes a while to get the hang of. Thanks!
