Friggin starving but nothing sounds good!

I was never this nauseous with my first. But this time I am constantly starving every 3 hours but NOTHING sounds good to eat. Not even junk food. It's a daily battle and I'm sick of it. Anyone have their "go-to" foods when nothing else sounds good?

I'm the same way! I've just been drinking lemon water and bread/carbs
  • French fries, I can't get enough of them! I could eat them breakfast, lunch and dinner!!

  • Lemon water and vegan mac and cheese have saved my life the past 20 days.

  • I'm 8.5 weeks and can only stomach certain foods - toast, pb&j sandwiches, cereal, crackers with PB, some soups..I typically love Mexican food but can't stand it right now...
  • I find I can almost always do a bowl of cereal, an apple or PB&J. I'm right there with you- most of the time it all sounds terrible.

  • I have a similar problem although I don't get nauseated until after I'm finished eating. I'm hungry but a lot of times nothing sounds good. I try eating something anyway and half the time I can't finish it. So annoying!
  • same here..yesterday I ate so much food I was so sick of eating at the end of the day..but if I don't eat..I just get worse hunger pains and more nausea!! And same thing..usually nothing sounds good but like one or two items..I need to do some serious grocery shopping! I have been eating a ton of applesauce for some reason as well as baked potatoes with shredded cheese and broccoli on top! I already feel like I am going to gain like 50 lbs with this one!! This is my second...I was not this crazy with my first!

  • Saltines. Jello. Ramen. Sprite.

And yeah, pickles. I bought some this morning and I had to stop myself from eating the whole jar.

  • Saltines with peanut butter + applejuice. Plain chips and coke. Cold apples. I feel your pain! Last night after dinner I said to my husband, "I feel too full, hungry and nauseous all at once!"

  • Cereal always works for me, or fruit cups, extra cold.

  • Chocolate chip Eggo waffles, no syrup. Warm but still plain enough.

Fresh everything bagel toasted with avacado, can eat it everyday.

    Pomagranette and berries!
  • I have no go-to's since I'm in the same boat as you. Once I do make something I only get a quarter of the way through it before I feel queasy again. It sucks. I think I'm asking for zofran at my appointment next week so I can finally start actually eating again...
Please pardon any typos -- I'm typically bumping from my phone

    * Lindsay Chase is going to be a big brother in August! *
  • Whole wheat toast or english muffin with peanut butter, sometimes sliced banana and a touch of honey.  I also like greek yogurt.   I'm finding that my stronger sense of smell is really turning me off from lots of food, and I normally love to eat.

  • I hear ya! I haven't cooked a single meal (besides macaroni & cheese) since my BFP for this same reason.

My "go-to" has been plain bagel with plain cream cheese.

  • Exactly this! My husband knew I felt nauseous all day yesterday, so he said that I probably wasn't in the mood to eat dinner. Um, nope. Ate a full meal. Felt fine while eating ... but immediately afterwards I felt too full and had heartburn.

  • I'm eating so much Greek yogurt I should buy stock in it. That and applesauce are my go-tos, though pickles also hit the spot at times. The cravings and aversions are what are so weirdly interesting to me.
  • I am so having the same problem it's so frustrating. Pickles I love no matter what and watermelon. I just started really liking toast. Other than that everything tastes disgusting. 17 dollars worth of Chinese food down the drain DH was so mad I could have cried I just couldn't stomach it. :(

  • Smoothies are really doing the trick for me. Frozen mixed berries and kale or spinach with Greek yoghurt. I cannot get enough. Turkey on the other hand makes me want to vomit every time I think about Christmas.

  • I'm going through the exact same thing. It's like I'm living off of saltines. Everything smells horrible and makes me gag and I don't want to eat it. I have a fridge full of food and a pantry too and nothing seems appealing.
