DW went into labor on 12/27, at around 2am in the morning. She had something like 3 contractions, about 30min apart. My thought was "um, ok" and wanted to go back to sleep. She was like "no, hospital, NOW".
So off we went. Time stamp on the parking ticket was 410am. Babies were delivered via C-Section at 619am nad 621am. At exactly 37weeks.
Baby A: 5lb 9oz, 19 in
Baby B: 5lb 10oz, 19.5 in.
Time in the hospital went remarkably well. There was a blood sugar issue the first night, Baby A's dropped too much so we had to supplement them both with formula. But that came under control quickly.
Both babies are now home, and we're adjusting. DS (24months) has shown some signs of jealously, but has also been incredibly sweet in giving the babies some of his toys and trying to put a giant stuffed bear in their crib.
Leaving the hospitabl was hysterical. First, when I carried the carsets in I got several comments like "oooh, they're taking home twins!".
Then, every person, every single person, we encountered after leaving the Mother-Baby area said "twins!" or "oh my gosh, twins!" or "look! twins!".
Babies are currently sleeping a lot, so everyong is getting a litle bit of sleep. That will probably change in a couple days when they find their voices.

I'll like you for always.
As long as I'm living,
my baby you'll be."
