Um... No. My daughter had enough hair at birth that the doctor delivering her threatened to braid it while I was pushing. Her hair is beautiful still- she never lost any of it. And what in the world would hair have to do with vision and hearing?
Umm u come off as rather ignorant. My brother and I both had our heads shaved and we both wear glasses and I have bad hearing. I understand that you are trying to push your faith around but it's never nice. To answer your question, I did not shave my sons hair and he has beautiful thick hair now.

I've never even heard of this before... But what does it have to do w religion?

I guess it's part of the muslim beliefs? Never heard of it either. I don't know how it would be beneficial for hearing and sight though.
I have been told the old wives' tale - no haircut until the first birthday, or it won't grow
back. Most of LO's hair fell out due to bad cradle cap so it just left some dark little whispies that I swear were 3" long before we trimmed them. All his hair is back and blonde. DH and I are both brown-haired. Don't see any changes in his hearing or sight.
Never did I say that you will have the greatest vision known to man I said it is beneficial to your vision. Please, dont comment with unnecessary remarks thank you.
I'm a Muslim too but I do not come barging in with things without evidence. Instead of posting on my wall you could reply to me here to show how rude you truly are. Not everything mentioned in a Hadith is true so please don't deem my response unnecessary when you have no clue what you are talking about.
I am shocked to know that you are Muslim because as a Muslim sister, you could have replied better than that. Im not sure what I said to upset you but you are the one who called me ignorant in the first place. And yes, there are hadiths that are weak but who are we to say they arent true? May Allah be the judge to us all
Allah knows my intentions, and you missed an important part to the whole shaving thing...which is the 7th day after birth. When you go around talking about the benefits of a certain thing, you must include all aspects of it. That to me is ignorant, when people forget certain things and go on to preach them to others. You do not need to quote Surat al falaq to me, if everyone has their beliefs then why bring it up on a baby/parenting board? I also cannot decide what hadiths are weak or not but I follow scholars who I trust to do the best job at that.
Re: deleted
Shaving hair doesn't actually make it grow back thicker. Totally false.
