Ladies, my 6 month old has outgrown the mf inserts. I change him about every 2 hours and i double the mf up and he soaks them. I'm looking into trying out prefolds, using them for inserts and actual diapers. I've been looking into the gmd dipes. I want to know what your experience is with unbleached and bleached prefolds? Is there a difference between the two for absorbency?
I'm also looking into the workhorse dipes. I'm leaning to purchase no snaps, just so i could get a better fit. What's experience with the workhorse? Are they with it?
I have a few prefolds that i use a snappi with, and i love them, however my little guy rolls during changes so would a workhorse be better?
I'm new to using prefolds so any info you want to share, I'd love to hear!
Re: question: gmd
While prefolds are good for stuffing pockets I don't know that I'd buy them as my exclusive insert. They are bulky. I like my bamboo inserts better for day use. They hold just as much as a prefold but are way trimmer. I do love prefolds with a snappi or tri-folded in a cover though. Maybe try a few of each and get more of what you like?
I love all of their prefolds though. I think with the unbleached you may need an extra wash to prep. Otherwise they work the same and only the color is different. Workhorses are probably faster on a wiggly baby, but I like both.

For pocket stuffing, though, have you considered getting flats? They would be trimmer and more versatile than a prefold.
