Bittersweet: Birth of our first child; loss of my mom.

Rang in the New Year in a mountain cabin with my besties; went to Germany in February and ate all the German things while hubby drank all the German beer; hubby was accepted to a top 5 business school; we decided to move for his MBA program and I cried for a month despite knowing it was the best decision; visited the school on late April and it SNOWED and I cried; hated being pregnant; went overdue by 10 days and cried about it; had a pain med free birth as hoped!; began falling in love with our daughter; cried a LOT her first few weeks; was in so much pain recovering from a third degree tear; rushed home when she was 4 weeks old because my mom went into cardiac arrest and we thought she was gone; my mom miraculously recovered and we celebrated and cried a lot; packed everything up and moved; was lonely in the new city and cried a lot; spent Oct in a blur of plugged ducts and cried a lot; spent Nov with no sleep and cried a lot; N learned how to sleep early Dec and we celebrated; spent 2.5 weeks at home for Christmas and saw everyone; welcomed my twin nieces into the world; drove home to all of my breat milk spoiled and cried a lot.

Lots of high highs and low lows. And lots of crying this year!

Finished residency, moved to a new city, finally started living with my husband after 3 years of marriage, started a new job, passed my Boards, and the most important thing of all, brought this little peanut into the world!

2013 was a wonderful, stressful and trying year. 

It was wonderful when DD was added to our family, finding out my sister was pregnant with Baby #3 and my BIL welcoming his first baby into the world. 

It was stressful and trying when we almost lost my older brother to autoimmune hepatitis, having both my brothers go through a liver transplant and just recently finding out that my MIL has stage 4 kidney disease. Dealing with all of that and adjusting to having 2 small children was very trying.

I'm definitely ready to enjoy 2014 and to leave 2013 behind.

Started a graduate program, then put classes on hold after successful completion of the first two. Experienced pregnancy with highlights of non stop peeing, not sleeping well, and actually enjoying maternity clothes. Had my LO a month earlier than expected - we had nothing ready at home. then the past months have been filled watching this little kid grow and change interspersed with very little sleep, lots of caffeine, hormones out of whack, and learning to communicate with the parents about how my husband and I are going to parent. Oh, and my sister got married.

Pregnant with our lil man for the first half of the year. Sent my hubby on deployment in April, gave birth without him here and was beyond glad to have him return safely in Sept. Lost my Uncle to cancer in May. Celebrated 3 years of being together with my hubby in July and 2 years of marriage in Aug. finished off the year with a very exciting BFP, found out it was twins and unfortunately miscarried. Looking forward to a great 2014 and am hoping that we will be welcoming baby #3 by the end of this year

Pregnancy and morning sickness.

Brought a very little LO into this world, thanked God that he survived despite the apparently awful prenatal care I received.

Had a loooooooong csection recovery.

Learned as I went along. We all survived and had a few tears in the process.

Got to experience first smiles and laughs and realize what a blessing being a parent is.

Pregnant for half the year, had my son 8 days late via emergency C-section. I have a great recovery and was home within a few days. Went back to work and in September I married my husband. It has been a crazy, stressful and happy year!

Lost my grandpa unexpectedly in January. SO lost his job in February-on our anniversary. Had a very rough pregnancy and had to stop working in March. Moved in with my parents. SO got a new job in April. Grayson made his appearance. Made it through the rest of the year and now hoping we can make it through the new one!

Saw phish in concert last NYE, Had my little man on June 1st, saw phish in concert on NYE again. It started and ended the same way with my beautiful boy in between. What a wonderful year!

Found out we were having a boy in January! Got really huge and enjoyed being pregnant for the most part. Had MJ on June 10th, my parents moved a mile from us June 15th. My husband made a huge career change at the beginning of December, and I got promoted into the research field from manufacturing. I lost 75 pounds and feel amazing. We are ridiculously happy and in love with our little man. I can't wait to see what happens in 2014

2013 had its ups and downs. Had my beautiful daughter via emergency c-section. Did some traveling. H's grandpa died. Found out that he wasn't actually H's grandpa. Met the new grandpa. Worked on getting a full time position and no longer be contract. Highlight was definitely my little Lily!

My oldest was in a horrific car accident in April, she received a nice settlement that will hopefully fund her Stanford aspirations, remodeled an entire house, had a beautiful baby girl, found out my DH is a lying liar who lies, didn't get to move into the beautiful home I remodeled and decorated, filed for divorce, and gained 17 lbs AFTER having my sweet Harper Rae. Bring it on 2014, I can handle anything!

Found out I was having a girl. Got my Masters. Gave birth to my sweet girl. And just got a new car!

Besides my pregnancy and having a new baby, 2013 was pretty calm. It was the year of patience and faith for me. After my previous pregnancy loss I needed faith. I also had a close friendship change that made me lean on other friends more. Dislocated my shoulder. Had a non-medicated birth which was awesome! Having DD has been an amazing ride. I adore her. Being a mom is a role I love and hate at times. I'm looking forward to growing into it more in 2014.

Worked a horrible job for first 6 months. Had my wonderful lo, lost a favorite cousin, gained weight...50lbs, Started a new part time job, loved every minute of being a mom.

2014 is going to be about losing weight (again) and being the best damn mom/wife I can be

Found out we were expecting boy #2. DH graduated from law enforcement training. Potty trained DS1. Accepted a new job after much deliberation. Gave birth to LO June 17. Started new job at 5.5 weeks pp. Watched DS1 become the best big brother we could hope for! Grew closer as a family and in our relationship. FINALLY booked our honeymoon, going over our 5 yr anniversary in April. Considering moving and started looking at job opportunities for DH.

We had a baby, my toddler turned 2, bought a house, moved, and are still renovating (yeah, the bathroom STILL isn't finished...don't get me started, lol) all in the second half of the year. It was a busy, hectic, amazing, whirlwind of a year, but I loved (mostly) every second

After a couple of rough years, 2013 was a much better one for our family. I really loved being pregnant, until the 3rd trimester. I was terrified when I had my c-section, but like everyone says, I never realized I could love someone so much until I had my son. Being home with him has been the most amazing time, and I'm sad to go back to work, but life goes on, and I know he'll be in good hands with my mom. While on maternity leave it seemed like everything we owned broke, including our poor cat. She's doing better, but we could definitely use my paycheck now. Hoping for a less expensive 2014, and maybe another pregnancy by the end of the year.

2013 was bittersweet. Found out we were having a boy in January or February, Ty was hospitalized in May, we celebrated 5 years of marriage immediately after checking Ty out of the hospital, Wyatt was born in June, Lucy turned 2 in June, Ty severely sprained his ankle in July, Ty was fired after returning to work in September. Yeah. Rough year with bits of intense happiness sprinkled throughout.

2014 will bring the last 8 months of my 20's. I've got a whole 30 by 30 list going.

You all know how 2013 went since we're in the same boat but I just told DH last night that we've not had a "big event" free year since 2007:

2007: Got engaged

2008: Got married

2009: Got pregnant

2010: Had DS1

2011: I got laid off, I got a new job AND we bought a house

2012: Got pregnant

2013: Had DS2

2014: DH will start a much needed new job on Monday

Rang in 2013 with terrible morning sickness, found out we were having a boy, finished my sophomore year of nursing school, took the summer off to have my sweet baby boy, started my junior year with a 7 week old, celebrate our 1 year anniversary with a 2 month old and finished the year enjoying every minute of my crazy life!!
