Family not happy

My partner and i have chosen to be a One and done and we are very happy with this.

but my family seems to think that i hate my siblings and thats just not true.

i love my siblings i do but i want my child to have 100% of my attention i think only children are just simply better adjusted then people with multiple children.

how do i convince my family that just because i only want one child it doesnt mean i hate my siblings or that i think they raised me wrong.

You need to stop discussing your reasons with them. Although they are valid, to your parents they will sound like a criticism. 

How they can't help but hear it: You want your child to have 100% of your attention = You feel you didn't get enough attention from them.

Only children are better adjusted = Your siblings are not well-adjusted and, yes, they raised you wrong.

It's really a no-win situation. And it's not like you have to convince them. They can't force you to have another. Just leave the subject alone.

This is probably the approach that we are going to take when we start to get questioned in a couple years. Good luck OP.
