How often does your LO wear shoes?

My mom is constantly on my case about LO not wearing shoes on a regular basis. I don't see what the big deal is really. She says, "if you don't get him used to them now, he will never learn to wear them, and then you'll be outta luck when he starts walking." But I've also heard that wearing shoes too soon can harm development. What's your opinion?

Lily has worn shoes exactly twice.  Once to see Santa and again for Christmas Eve Mass.  She kicked them off.  I heard the same thing that shoes inhibit development.  I am sure when the time comes, your LO will be fine with shoes.  He won't go to college in his socks!  (class maybe!)

Fin never wears actual shoes, but whenever we go out I put slippers on over his socks (keeps the socks on and kind of looks like shoes so I dont feel like people are side eyeing me).

She wears robeez when we are out to help keep her feet warm. I have put shoes on her a few times but she hates them and just kicks them off.

Soft sole shoes are not supposed to hinder their development for any of those worried about this.

I chose ss, because Noah wears soft shoes most days to keep his socks on. He's never worn "real" shoes.

Connor never wears shoes even though I have a pair for him. I bought one of those slipper things from etsy that have the thin leather sole. I heard that the longer they are without shoes the better it is for their feet development, which means a lot to me. I hope he didn't inherit my flat feet.

Ethan has shoes for his outfits , he wears them if we go to church or a function but they are soft sole baby shoes

We wear uggs every day because its negative 16 degrees outside. They come off half the time though.

She only wears soft shoes when we go out. Mostly to keep her socks on.
She has three pairs navy pink and dressy.

I voted yes, everyday. He mainly wears Robeez, because of the cold. I just bought his first real pair of shoes.

I have a pair of boots for DD when it is too cold for just socks but too warm for her snowsuit. She has worn them three times.

Same. Without Robeez on, she tries to eat her socks on a routine basis. Maybe a sign we should feed her or something? ; )

DD wears shoes every time we leave the house. No socks or shoes inside.

Sometimes but not every time we go out. Sometimes he is just in socks. Depends on his outfit ;-)

I love shoes. A lot. It's ridiculous but LO wears shoes whenever we go out, except for daycare (he never had them on when I picked him up so I gave up). Surprisingly they stay on most of the time!

I posted everyday! 1. My mom bought her tons of shoes and I don't want her to out grow them and not use them 2. Now that she's on her walker she needs to wear shoes because all of our house is wooden floors and her socks get super dirty! Mom dosent mop everyday! Lol

He's only worn shoes twice since he's been born 1) during his cousin's baptism 2) during Christmas.

I like the way shoes look on Noah and they help keep his socks on but I know not wearing shoes are better for this feet so they stay off. DH read somewhere that babies don't need shoes unless they are walking outside so whenever I attempt to put shoes on N, DH immediately takes them off haha.
