My DS has been chatting away since his 1st bday. His vocabulary is great, speech is great. Then all of a sudden over the past week he has started stuttering at the beginning so some sentences. About 1/3 of the time. It's so alarming to hear. Pedi odd ice is closed for the holiday and I've already read it can happen quite often at this age. Nevertheless, it is upsetting me to watch him struggle and look confused.
Anyone experience this?
Totally normal. He's thinking faster than he can get words out.
"Hello, babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. At the outside, babies, you've got about a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies. God damn it, you've got to be kind."

Totally normal. My DD is 2 and just did this the other day. I just get down to her level and say, "Take your time honey and tell Mommy what you want." They're so cute and excited about being able to articulate themselves.
I was just about to write a post like this! This is us too -- talking away early on and talking a lot, but then started stuttering like in the past few weeks. From what I read it is normal, but it worried/worries me too...

Normal. My sister works with kids who stutter- this age she won't even see yet because it is so normal and passes on its own very often. My older DD did this for about 6 months and it went away.
