C/S Friday or Monday (I hope?)

Baby is looking good, but still growth-restricted complete breech. He's 37 weeks and they think he's still under 5 pounds, with an abdominal circumference in the 5th percentile. This usually means a placenta problem, so MFM is worried about placental failure as the due date approaches. 

Can't talk to my regular OB, because she's out of the office and off call for the week.  I'm going to see her Thursday and hopefully schedule a c-section promptly thereafter. 

Thing is, I think the regular OB is going to fight to delay the birth longer, maybe all the way to 40 weeks.  I think the MFM doctors are right, and we've reached the point where the risk to my son of continuing the pregnancy outweighs the risks of slightly early delivery.

Frazzled.  Very frazzled.  But the PNP finally came in the mail last night, so now I at least have a bed to put him in.

I hope you can get your OB on board because it sounds like the MFM is right.
