What are your thoughts on Maisie as a stand alone name? Or do you prefer it as a nickname for Margaret?

I think it's cute!  Not sure it grows well though?  I've never known anyone with that name though so I'm not sure.

I've never heard it as a nn for Margaret, and it's too juvenile as a stand alone.

I've never heard it used as a NN for Margaret, and as such I'm having a hard time even liking it as a NN.  

Clearly, I'm not a fan of it as a stand-alone, and the fact that I can't even pull a personal association out of my hat for a like on the NN side of things...  Well, I just don't like the name as a NN either.

I think it sounds too "kiddie".  I have a hard time seeing a 40 year old woman named Maisie.

My neighbor has a five year old Maisie. It's cute, but I can't see it on an adult. I much prefer Mia or Molly.

I thought it was a nn for Marjorie traditionally... Personally it is more mn territory for me.

I know two dogs named Maisie so it's a 'dog name' to me. But it's cute! )

I think it's cutsie for a little girl, but doesn't age well, not to mention reminds me of a cow's name.
