Re: Swelling

  • Yes and it was ridiculous. Luckily they warned me while in the hospital. My OB told me it would take about two weeks to go away and by the second week it did go away.

  • I normally swell, so I am worried about pregnancy swelling even more now.  I do love compression socks (I suggest getting a prescription for medical grade socks), and elevating my legs always helps me too.  My sister had swelling issues with her pregnancy and her doctor suggested swimming to help alleviate some of the swelling.

  • I had a c-section, and the nurses said the pitocin (and some other drug i'm not remembering) cause a lot of swelling in the legs and feet. Like pp said, it took about two weeks to get better.

  • Yes! My feet and legs were bad (my right foot worse then my left). The shoes I brought to the hospital wouldn't fit so I wore my slippers home...go figure my foot swelling disappeared my first day home.
