The Bump Year in Review

Here we are, the end of 2013. I thought it'd be fun/interesting to compile up some memories we have from the bump in the past year..

1. What's your favorite bump memory involving yourself? (Ie- your announcement, your birth story, etc.)
2. What's your favorite bump memory involving a fellow BUMPIE? (Ie- someone's intro, someone's birth story, someone's funniness, etc.)
3. What's the funniest memory you have from the bump in the past year? (Ie- rumparoo, giffests, mom2boiz sex announcement on another page ((lol still makes me giggle)), etc.
4. What tugged at your heart the most on TB the past year?
5. Have you met any fellow bumpies in person the past year?

The best part about TB, for me, has been the friendships I've made. There are some ladies on this BMB that I genuinely feel close to. I haven't met anyone in person yet, but I hope to soon.

The GIFests and Love Fests are also a great part of TB/BMB.

1. Not sure. Probably my announcement? I don't draw too much attention to myself around here. 2. @Turtlemomma's "fuck the mcmuffins" 3. The faux Turtle vs. Cali call out thread 4. There were quite a few in the early days, when we lost a lot of ladies. I still miss many of them (aessary, peanutmuse, Henhen and others). 5. Nope, but I hope I get to meet some of my MN moms in the future.

I love the crazies posts.. They gave for a good read, and laugh. I can't remember anything specific though.. I might later (or it could get mentioned).

One thing that tugged at my heart was mrs.nyberg (can't remember her name exactly, she was mentioned in another post).. And her loss.

I haven't met any bumpies in real life but maybe one day

My favorite thread/part: when @turtlemomma and I had a turtle gif fight. That was fun. I still think I won, even though she doesn't!

F the McMuffins made me laugh so hard that day. I cannot even remember any thing else from her story.

@BabyE143's story about her mom really tugged at my heart. My mom watches LO and does so much for me. I cannot imagine raising my child without her.

The first month and half was do different than now. I was always so sad to read about people having miscarriages. I miss so many people. I have seen a few of them are now pregnant which makes me feel so happy for them. Every one deserves their rainbow baby.

1. Favorite memory involving myself - It's gotta be when we originally started gif-bombing people. Good times, ladies, good times.

2. There were so many good threads through the past year. Most of my favorite memories involve bumpies who have been banned. LOL Thanks for the entertainment, and for taking the internet way too seriously!

3. Funniest memory? Oh god...uhm I think the faux call out that @Turtlemomma started was a blasty blast. Her birth announcement also rocked my socks. I've also enjoyed being grossed out by all of you in the TMI Tuesday posts...

Edit: Hold the phone. When @Soleil called out lynds on her feet pic, or when we all jumped her ass for jet skiing. That was awesome. One of the more hilarious call outs to me.

4. Anytime I see one of "my girls" having a hard time it really saddens me. I know @WashingtonQueen was having a rough patch in life earlier, and when MrsNyberg lost her beautiful daughter. There have been many moments I found myself crying for people I have never met.

5. @BlondieBia21 and I are tight. You jelly?

I have loved all of my time on TB this year. I have been MIA since Morgan was born but something had to give in my time budgeting and TB took a hit (though I do miss being on more!) I love all of the support and the laughs. I love my mean girls and all of the gif parties. Every time @turtlemomma drops Fresh Prince lyrics on someone, I laugh. All of the heart ache people have shared has definitely tugged on my emotions.  I have met @Henderson1026 and @lkobriant IRL and hope to meet many more. Come on Ellen!!!!

1. What's your favorite bump memory involving yourself?

I really enjoyed being welcomed into our community even though I was a tad late.  I also really enjoyed the nominations you all gave me when we did the bumpie awards.  I may not have won any, but those nominations still show you love me.

2. What's your favorite bump memory involving a fellow BUMPIE?

Oh man, how can I pick just one?  As already mentioned @TurtleMomma's "f the mcmuffins" was a classic as well as all her Fresh Prince bombings, all the random gif parties, the call out thread was epic between @CaliforniaDreams and @TurtleMomma, and I think the best birth story we had would have to be @suchgreatheights.

3. What's the funniest memory you have from the bump in the past year?

Rumparoo and how she made strong friends with @Blonders and all of her great "advice."

4. What tugged at your heart the most on TB the past year?

Definitely MrsN and her loss.

5. Have you met any fellow bumpies in person the past year?

Not yet, but I hope to real soon.  There are a handful of bumpies that I have tried to meet up with, but have not been successful yet.  It will happen one day!

-I think it has to be all my fun with rumparoo. I still miss her.

-I loved theusualmischief's birth story.

-pretty sure mom2boiz announcement about dtd on the wrong board takes the cake.

4. What tugged at your heart the most on TB the past year?

-mrsn and/or @babye143. My heart broke for people I didn't even know IRL. Those are the two I can think of off the top of my head, but there's been numerous times when I couldn't help but cry for them.

5. Have you met any fellow bumpies in person the past year?

-ELauren88 and I are BFF and I can't wait until we live in the same city come April! I hope 2014 will bring many more bump meetings!

1. I got a lot of support early on from the other CPC moms. That was a scary time and knowing that others were dealing with the same issues was so helpful and reassuring.

2. V&G's bump pictures, @RoosterMemphis's wedding pictures and @Jill9288's nursery pictures. And everyone's fur baby pics! Is that creepy?? 

3. Month 7 or 8 when we did the "you know you're pregnant when…" I seriously remember speeding to get home from work so I could post more gifs. I think the thread got up to 7 pages. Also, @turtlemomma 's banana hammock gif bombs.

4. MrsNyberg for sure. I just can't imagine and I wish for her happiness.

5. I haven't met anyone IRL, but I would hope to one day soon!

1. What's your favorite bump memory involving yourself? 

The love fest.... it meant so much to me to hear other bumpies appreciate me. I appreciate you all too.

2. What's your favorite bump memory involving a fellow BUMPIE? 

I have so many, but I think what sticks out the most is all of us realizing how close we were to each other. I got so excited to learn that I am only about 30 minutes away from @BellaOso and @RoosterMemphis.

3. What's the funniest memory you have from the bump in the past year? 

This one is a tie- Rumparoo and the call out between @TurtleMomma and @CaliforniaDream87 I absolutely love the fact that we all throw in a "What? Ok." at the end of our posts every here and there. Not to mention that we now lovingly refer to @BlondieBia21 as Blonders Blonders Blonders. 
4. What tugged at your heart the most on TB the past year? 

Mrs Nyberg's loss absolutely broke my heart. 
5. Have you met any fellow bumpies in person the past year? 

Not yet but soon I hope!!

1. What's your favorite bump memory involving yourself?
I have two. When I posted my “Motherhood has turned me into a hippy” and “One Week On the Other Side” threads. It was great seeing all the responses from the BTDTs and the FTMs who hadn’t given birth yet.
2. What's your favorite bump memory involving a fellow BUMPIE?
@Soleil3 and @Henderson1026 defended one of my more controversial, foot-in-mouth, UOs and I was thankful for that. Also, I was very happy when @TurtleMomma and @CaliforniaDream87 let us know the cal lout thread was MUD. I was really worried that two of my faves were in a real fight!  And, all the times I’ve received awesome advice and support from @BellaOso and @BellhurstBride.

3. What's the funniest memory you have from the bump in the past year?
I thought it was hilarious when everyone ganged up on JessNTim. Also, when @Ihateregs called out everyone and I was included as a “mean girl” in the call out. I felt special.
4. What tugged at your heart the most on TB the past year?
MrsN’s loss was devastating. We had almost all the same pregnancy complications, so it also terrified me. I think of her often. I also felt for Katie being on Bedrest forever and being separated from her H. And, I was also saddened @babye143’s loss of her mother.
5. Have you met any fellow bumpies in person the past year?
Not yet, but I know @CaliforniaDream87 and @HHaber are in my area, so hopefully someday!

Here we are, the end of 2013. I thought it'd be fun/interesting to compile up some memories we have from the bump in the past year..

1. What's your favorite bump memory involving yourself? (Ie- your announcement, your birth story, etc.) Mine was when I found out @RoosterMemphis and I found out we lived so close to each other and posted, "Mind Blown" because it led to us all finding out how close we lived to each other. It kind of broke down the barrier for me. Sorry - I'm telling 2. The other was when we were still PG and someone had a go at @WashingtonQueen on another board and we all rushed over and bombed that board. It made me realize that we were all really becoming close because we weren't going to let anyone pick on one of our own.

2. What's your favorite bump memory involving a fellow BUMPIE? (Ie- someone's intro, someone's birth story, someone's funniness, etc.) Oh my! @Turtlemomma's birth story, and the gif birth announcement killed me.

3. What's the funniest memory you have from the bump in the past year? (Ie- rumparoo, giffests, mom2boiz sex announcement on another page ((lol still makes me giggle)), etc. Oh crap. So many. I always love the crazies and GBCBs. I loved rumparoo and Blonders. That was amazing. I always love when we get on gifs kick.
 
4. What tugged at your heart the most on TB the past year? Ms.N. That was devastating. I remember holding DD1 and having tears roll down my cheeks while I rocked her after I read it.

5. Have you met any fellow bumpies in person the past year? The infamous Rooster. I'm hoping it makes me a little "bad-ass" by association. And soon Christy I hope. I think doing a California get together would be fun sometime.

Anything I missed? And go.... Thank you guys for sharing the hairy and scary, and the happy and joyful with me over this passed year. I know we have all flamed and been flamed, but I also know that we will stick up for each other and I think that is pretty damn special.

1. Definitely my birth story. 

2. I love all the times @Turtlemomma pulled out the Fresh Prince lyrics. I also enjoyed all of the GIFs from everyone. 

3. Fuck the McMuffins. Also the fake @Turtlemomma call-out of @CaliforniaDream87. I wasn't in on it, but it was pretty funny afterwards. I also loved the recent GIF fest for @Zever00's in-laws. That was a good time. I also loved having Rumparoo around. 

4. I still think about MrsNyberg from time to time. Also, it was really sad when some of my TTGP friends experienced losses early on. That was really tough. 

5. It's a damn shame that the St. Louis girls haven't met up. Anyone up for it? I'd be down with having lunch or meeting at a mall or something, particularly before @Jill9288 moves.

I think we can definitely arrange to have some gelato
