DH and I are torn between our final two name choices for DS2.

We love Kelly but are worried about him being teased since it's been primarily used as a girls name in the past few decades. We also love George but are worried about him being teased with that name as well since it's such an old man name with no real nick names.

DS1's name is August and our last name is McM*****. TIA!

I vote George Kelly. I dont' think your child will get picked on. So many "older" names like Henry, Oliver & the likes are making a huge appearance. Also with the newest royal being named George it really is probably more heard of now as a child's name than as an being associated with being old.

Some names are just classics. I think George is one of them.

George Kelly. I know Kelly was originally a boy name, but after growing up in the 80s with lots of female Kellys, it's way too girly to be a first name for me.

Before this board, I had never even known that Kelly was originally a boy's name. I'll be honest, it sounds 100% girly to me. I much prefer George, which is a great name.

Love Kelly for a boy, a friend of ours is Kelly and it fits. George is just too formal, old, and boring for me.

We are having a little girl, and her name is my Great Great Grandmaw's name and my MawMaw's and my middle name. It's different, so whichever name you choose, it's got to be something you can picture your little man sitting down and you calling him to come eat dinner or even as an infant, introducing him. I can't imagine calling my little girl anything other than Tazie Raye! My hubby loved it too the first time I informed him that would be her name if she was a girl.
