Sick again

Ugh. 2 years without any sickness and now that he had his first ear infection, it just seems to keep coming! DH, Alex and I all got a pretty mean cold over Christmas and we had to cut our trip to DH's family in Oklahoma short by a day. DH got a stomach bug in addition to the cold and I was hoping that Alex could at least avoid that, but he has thrown up yesterday morning after breakfast and the day before as well. I thought we are in the clear when it didn't happen today, but he just puked all over his crib after we put him down for the night. I think it might have happened because he was coughing so hard. 

I hope that was it for the night and the we all get some rest!

What is it about this winter though? Two of my friends are down with the flu, another one has RSV and everyone seems to be having a cold.

Ick! Hope you all feel better soon. Our house has been hit twice so far this winter. I feel like barracading ourselves in but that would really stink.

Thanks for the well wishes! 

He is still coughing a lot, but at least he didn't puke today. I think he might be getting another ear infection though. Keeps tugging his ear and is a pretty grumpy little person all day. Hoping tomorrow he'll be back to normal, at least somewhat.

Awe, feel better Ricola family!

Last year we but DD in "school" 2 half days and we were literally sick from 2 days before Christmas until April. She had tummy bugs, upper respiratory things, a 3 month ear infection and croup to round it off. It was awful! This winter so far just a tummy bug but it's looking yucky out there!

Just thought we were over it, but now he has a fever again. We went to the after hours clinic last night, because his fever was at 104.8, but his ears, lungs and throat are clear. Flu test came back negative, too, and the Doctor said it's most likely just some random virus that he's fighting. No other symptoms, which is so weird. 

Today started out better, but around dinner time he got really hot again and didn't want to eat. When I took his temp it was 105.7. Crazy scary. Went down with Tylenol thankfully and now he is sound asleep. I hope the fever will break soon!
