We went to the ENT today and decided on tubes. H is on his seventh ear infection now since mid-September and after nearly 15 days of antibiotics, both ears still looked bad today. I'm so ready to get this done and get him cleared out so hopefully he stays clear. I'll get a call sometime Thursday, but surgery is set for Friday.

    Bless H's heart! Ear infections are no fun, especially seven! Good luck on Friday. Will keep you and H in my prayers!
    MF (low motility) - Began stims for IVF#1 7/21/12
    ER 8/2/12 - 14 eggs retrieved, 12 mature and ICSI'd, 6 fertilized. ET 8/7 - 2 embies. Beta#1 8/17: 143! Beta#2 8/20: 590! Beta#3 8/22: 1,162! 1st US 9/4: one beautiful little bean with the best sounding HB I've ever heard!

    Wow - you got that surgery scheduled quickly! We finally got our date of 1/27 for DS's tubes. I'll be curious to see how it goes for you! Good luck!! I'm on mobile -how old is your DS?

    Poor LO! Everyone I know whose LO has had them though has done so much better after. T&P for an easy surgery and a smooth recovery.

    I think that's a good decision. Tubes made a world of difference for us. Good luck with his surgery tomorrow.

    @ccam - he will be 10 months on the first. I was surprised we got it so quickly but I'm also so glad! I didn't want to have to wait another month.

    @mnj05 Absolutely! I'm going to be sitting around anxiously waiting. I'd rather just get it over with!! Plus he's bound to have another ear infection between now and then at the rate he's going. I hope it gives your DS some relief! Ear infections are the worst!!

    That was my thought too, the longer we wait, the higher chance of yet another infection and another round of meds. I'll let you know how our experience is!

    Good choice. I had massive ear infections as a baby, like basically one every month to every two months. I had tubes put it, turns out I had a chronic infection in my ear bone, but the tubes helped clear it out so I wasn't sick all the time. Best of luck!

    Ear infections are the worst! Luckily my LO has yet to face them but I had them ALL THE TIME when I was young didn't get tubes until 4th grade! Glad things are more effective now, hope all goes well on Friday!

    I'm glad they can get it done so quick! I hope he recovers quickly and can be done with these darn ear infections!!

    IVF #1 Lupron/Menopur/Gonal-f/HCG Trigger
    ER 4/19/12 = 11 retrieved, 6 fertilized,
    ET 4/22/12 = 2 transfered (day 3), remaining 3 weren't good enough to freeze
    Beta 5/3 = BFP, 87 Beta #2 5/7 560.9 Beta #3 5/9 1376.5 First u/s One Baby, 125bpm!
    Second u/s, 176bmp! Kicked over to the OB by the RE at 8w. Team Green!! 
    Baby girl J arrived two weeks early! Born into water, med-free. Hooray for Team Pink!

    TTC #2 - back to the RE, treatment started 12/2014.

    GL with your son's surgery. After my LO's myringotomy tube insertion she has not had a single ear infection. You'll be amazed how quickly babies bounce back after surgery.
    TTC since 3-08 IVF # 1 Dec 2011 BFP DD born at 31 weeks 6-24-12

    FET #1 Dec 2013 BFN

    FET # 2 Feb 2014 BFN

    No more frosties

    IVF #2. September 2014

    PGD yielded 2 perfect 5d blasts

    SET November 9, 2014
    Nov 23, 2014. Another BFN

    Not sure where to go from here.

    Hope all goes well!

    Married: 5/09 ~ TTC Since: 10/10 ~ PCOS ~ Progesterone from 10/10 - 2/11 ~ HSG on 3/18 - Clear ~ Started Metformin 1000mg & Clomid 50mg 2/11 ~ Metformin upped to 1500mg 4/6 ~ 6/7 Now going to SG and put on Clomid, Ovidrel, Gonal F, Prometrium, Estrace ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP!!!!!! March 6th our little man was born. 

    6/17/13 - Ovidrel, Follistim, Prometrium ~ IUI #1 7/2 = BFP! March 17th our St. Pattys day baby arrived

    10/29/17 - Started process for IVF, got pregnant & miscarried a 2nd time since summer. 2/22 started stims - Menopur, Gonal F, Cetrotide - retrieval 3/6 - , PIO, estrace 3xday - FET 4/18 = Beta 1: 616; Beta 2: 1342 = BFP
