Winey Vent-In need of tiny violins and cheese please

Wahh, I'm sick! I have a cough, stuffy nose, and I couldnt sleep at all last night This morning before I left for work, H said to me "be careful coughing so much" as if I can control it...I think that he thinks I could that coughing could send me into labor or will cause my water to break (umm...could it?!)

I also was supposed to work from home today which would have been great but at the last minute my boss decided that he "needed" me in the office....luckily I'm leaving at 12:30 for my OB appointment and can go home after and rest.

Ugh, I hope you feel better soon!  I got really sick last week, and the cough was awful

I hear ya @cpm1223. I have the cough too and I swear the baby might just come out with each new hack. Yay for half days and I hope you feel better!

Ate at a dinner party last night and the food hasn't agreed with me. Ever since I have spent/am  spending lots of time in my second office (ie on the toilet).

Started work 1.5 hrs early but forgot to clock in so it doesn't count...great start to the week.

I feel your pain. It seems I may have picked up a touch of the plague from my sister at Christmas.

If sneezing can shoot this baby out, then bring it on! No? Damnit.

I understand what your saying about you obviously can't control your coughing...that being said I can also understand your DH's concern. When I had bronchitis in the first trimester I was coughing so hard that my Dr. put me on codeine cough syrup. I was very concerned about the effect on my baby and his response was do you realize that if you keep coughing this hard you could cause your baby to detach and have a miscarriage? Well I was officially freaked the hell out! I called my ob to check with her before I took the syrup and she said to take it, bc though miscarriage caused by the coughing would be rare, it could happen with as severe as the bronchitis was. Anyway my point was if severe coughing can cause a miscarriage I would think that it could cause labor, so maybe check with ob (since your already going to be there today) and see if she wants you to take anything for coughing. Also your belly can start to ache really bad (if it doesn't already) from all the coughing. Good luck I hope that you feel better soon
