NYE traditions

What are your plans for NYE? And are there any traditions you follow?

We may just have my bro and sister in law over for dinner. The one tradition I always keep is eating 12 grapes at midnight - 1 for each month of the upcoming year for health and prosperity

    We normally don't stay up to midnight, but on NYE we make tamales, and on NYD we make black eyed peas and ham.  Both are to symbolize wealth in the new year.

    We don't have any traditions for NYE. This year, my mom is coming to watch the kids and DH and I will go to a party. I'm so excited for adult socialization!

    My mom is my usual sitter and has been in Mexico on vacation for 2 weeks. I am totally ready for some adult socialization!

    If I am not in labor, we will celebrate with friends by having a smorgasbord of appetizers and other finger foods.  I would not however be surprised if I am welcoming a baby instead of being at our friends' home.

    Thank you @RedCamaro !  After several hours of strong consistent contractions on the 30th everything stopped so it looks like a 2014 baby for me.
