First Period/Spotting?

My daughter is 12 months old.  I still have yet to get my first period after having her.  The other morning I woke up to what I would call brown "spotting"  Anyone else experience this their before their first period after baby?

I got my first period when my daughter was 13 months. She was/is breastfed. I was expecting some horror show because I heard periods are a lot worse after having a baby but mine have been mild to normal. Good luck

Yes...I went back to work around DD's first birthday and started decreasing nursing sessions to morning and evening at that time.  I started to get spotting and eventually my period came back.

Just had the same thing. My DD is 13.5 months and I just got a very light, brown period for about 5 days. I consider it a period, but it was odd to me how light it was. I'm still BFing, but have gone to only pumping 1x/day at work now.

I haven't gotten mine back yet (12 m pp), but it have experienced cramps off and on for a month or so. I'm sure it will be here soon. I EP 3x day.

That's about when mine returned.  Started the same way, quite mild, but then...

It was like the elevator scene in The Shining. That's all I have to say about that.
