beverages

What are you drinking besides good ole water? I am trying to stay away from dt. sodas(which I consume on occasion) and typically don't drink a lot of juice due to the calories.(before pregnant I was watching weight). I am looking for something from time to time and just curious what other options are.

  • You can flavor your own water, ie blueberries and mint, apple slices and cinnamon sticks, raspberries, etc. if you google you can get all kinds of ideas.

  • I get decaf tea and make sweet tea! I also drink lots of juices :)
  • I'm still drinking diet soda, the carbonation helps settle my stomach. Otherwise just really cold ice water and iced tea.

    I really want to get one of those infuser pitchers to infuse my water!

  • My husband got me one of those soda stream things. I make fizzy water with it and mix with with fruit juice. It's better tasting than water alone, settles my tummy and the fruit juice gives me energy since I've gone off caffeine completely. Oh and I cannot get enough ice cold milk!

    4/2012 tried 1st round of Clomid @ 50mgs, BFN
    11/2012 tried 2nd round of Clomid @ 50mgs
    BFP on 12/16!!

  • The only thing that I have noticed that helps ease my stomach is sprite... i know soft drinks seem to be looked at as a no no, but I don't want to sit around and feel nauseous all day.

  • I've been making a lot of ginger and mint tea here lately. Sometimes I add honey, sometimes no. It helps with the morning sickness.

  • I've never liked soda thankfully, I just drink water and unsweetened hot tea

    I had HG so I could barely keep down water sometimes, but on good days I tried Powerade, not only for the electrolytes, but because the B6 vitamins in it help with nausea.
  • I agree with the pp. Powerade always helped me it was the only thing I could drink other then water for a while with my first DS. I also do flavored water it helps where its not so boring.
  • I drink a lot of sparkling water and some flavored waters (like Ice). I also love the Minute Maid Diet Lemonade...only 5 calories a can. Try diet root beer, too, since that's caffeine free. And for a treat, I'll have pineapple juice and club soda. This is great for eating out, too, since I feel like I'm getting a "real" drink.

    I second the Sparkling Water with Lemon-Lime.  I tried it for the first time this weekend was amazed at the fact that there was no high fructose corn syrup, 0 calories, and no diet sugars either!  It had the same tummy calming effect as Sprite for me, but I didn't feel that sugary overload.  I think I had Seagrams...

  • La Croix is amazing. The lemon lime flavor reminds me of sprite very much, just not as sweet.
