Graco base

I have the Graco snugride 35, and was planning on using an extra base from my sister for DHs car. She also had a snugride, not sure which one 30 maybe. I for some reason was thinking that base would work but it did not. Is this typical for each snugride to have its own base? Any others I could use?

You should be able to use the 30 with a 35 base and vise versa IF they are the same type. Graco has the Classic Connect and the Click Connect. 2 different bases.

I believe the 30 & 35 bases are interchangable. I went with the 35 over the 30 because the 35 seat has the level indicator (where as the 30 has the indicator on the base). Also the 35 knob for adjusting the base seemed easier / more substantial. Both seats can be installed without the base though so it just takes a wee bit longer (but is surprisingly easy to do)
