Yes, I know it's a boys name. But it still looks feminine with the Leigh spelling. So I'm not fond of it at all. Leeland is much more likeable to my personal tastes than Leighton.

So because it's not your style you come here to bash a perfectly good name that someone used correctly?
Around here "Facebook name" either signifies a name horror or sometimes, a surprisingly refreshing name. You didn't go out out of your way to post this to be indifferent towards it. You "sighed" at it and then said that the correctly used male name should not be used on a boy. Yes, bashing. So what did you post this for if your intention was not expecting people to jump on your bandwagon and tell you how wrong the parents were to use it?
Where did I say it "should not be used on a boy"? I have a right to *sigh* whenever I'd like. So, *sigh* I'm not going to respond to you anymore.
Whatever. Hey, let's all post random meaningless threads about correctly used and correctly spelled names that we just happen to not be a fan of! ::side eye::
I think because I haven't heard any boys named Leighton that it throws me off too even though the -ton at the end leads me more to a boy name. Also due to the popularity of Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl that my brain thinks girl as well. Not my style but I get what you're trying to say.
