I'm late! and screwed up from the holidays!

We had a venison stew over mashed potatoes!

    Your pasta sounds good! Here is my recipe:

    2lb venison cut into 3cm cubes
    2 onions finely sliced
    2 garlic cloves chopped
    1 1/2 cup beef broth
    2 tbsp flour
    1/2 cup red wine
    2 tbsp red currant jelly (I didn't have it so I used wildberry jam)
    6 juniper berries crushed
    cloves
    cinnamon 
    nutmeg
    salt and pepper

    Oven 350
    1) Heat oil in skillet cook venison over high heat 5 min - transfer to casserole dish
    2) Add onions and garlic to skillet 5 min - transfer to casserole dish
    3) stir in stock and bring to boil
    4) Sprinkle flour over meat/onion mixture
    5) Add wine/jelly/spices 

    Cook for 2 - 2 1/2 hours!

    It turned out better than I expected, I'm not huge on venison but I couldn't let it go to waste!

    We had my chicken sausage pasta: chicken sausage with garlic and red pepper flakes sautéed with bell pepper onion and grape tomatoes until they burst, served with whole wheat pasta over a bed of arugula. Topped with grated Parmesan cheese. This is practically a weekly dish at my house.

    Since we are besties now, can I come have some next time? I'll bring wine!

    Sounds like a deal!
