I don't think this has been asked before... Has anyone managed to sleep train a baby who won't take a pacifier? I feel like every sleep training success mentions making sure they have their paci, but my LO has never taken one. Anyone else?
My LO has never taken to a pacifier and we sleep trained him no problem. Well, it took time and wasn't an overnight success, but he sleeps 11-12 hours a night, with just one wake up to nurse, if he even wakes up. It's totally doable!
No paci here either. We just did a crib transition with 2 MOTN feeding (bed at 8, up 1 & 5 to eat up for the day at 8:30-9). We are working on cutting out the feedings now.

Can I ask what method you used?
We kinda mixed two methods to get a method we felt would work best for our son and us. We did pick up/ put down with some CIO. How we decided to go about it was let LO cry for 15 minutes before going into his nursery. If he couldn't calm himself down in 15 minutes, we would go in, pick him up and do whatever to calm him down (except nursing). After he was calm for three minutes, we laid him back down, even if he started to cry as we did it. And if he did cry, we started the timer and waited another 15 minutes and repeat. We saw improvement the first night and within a week, he was able to soothe his self and rarely needed us to come in and pick him up. Now every once in awhile (more so now because of all the travel and such from the holidays, we have to go in to calm him down. We've stopped picking him up and just pat his booty.
Sorry long explanation. Hopefully it helps! Babycenter has a board (Teaching Your Baby and Toddler to Sleep) that was/is an amazing resource. It really helped me with naps and knowing how long he should be awake during the day between naps.

We had to move him to his own pack n play (he was 100% in bed with me but that wasn't working any more due to rolling and a high bed!) so we did some 'sleep training'. And I thought the same thing it would be WAY easier if he would take a paci.
He liked his wubanub so I gave him that and at 5 months he started taking a 'paci' just in the form of his wubanub. I don't know if this is a good thing or a very bad thing! (but he does sleep WAY better!)

Just curious how you are going to do this? Looks like we are pretty much on the same schedule and if we can, I'd like to cut out night feedings soon bc I'm starting back to work soon. Or at least get him into a routine of only waking up once.
My LO doesn't take paci's either. I am going to start sending DH in during MOTN feedings so he realizes there's no eating at night. Then we will start sleep training I'm not sure which method to use either so I will be following this post.
