Need advice is this normal?

I'll make this quick!
1st round of Clomid 50mg + day 14 ultrasound = 1 good egg in the rt and cant find the left ovary to look. Big O happened a week late so up the dose and try again.
2nd round of Clomid 100mg + day 14 ultrasound = few small follicles in the right ovary but not even as good as last time Dr thinks I may not ovulate at all, still cant find the left ovary
Little more info: had major cramping the morning before the ultrasound this time and thought it could be ovulation a day early but Dr said she didn't see anything that pointed to that. I am going in for a follow up ultrasound Monday to see if MAYBE I will O on Monday which would make testing/ AF on my birthday
How could it be worse this time? I don't get it...has this happened to anybody else? I don't have anybody else to talk to about this kind of stuff so I appreciate your input.
