I was at the grocery store earlier, and this name was on a tag of my cashier: Perla.

Opinions? I'm not sure how I feel. It reminds me of Pearl (not sure if it's a variation of it..?) and I've never been too fond if it.

Cashier looked to be around early 20's

It's pretty, but DD's middle is Pearl so I may be biased.

Its pretty but reminds me of the high end lingerie company, La Perla. That's not really a bad thing though.

I think of lingerie straight away, which makes it feel sort of sleazy to me.

I think it's pretty.  Feminine but not overly so.

The only Perla I know personally is a medical assistant for my midwife. She is in her mid-20s and Hispanic. I do talk to a Perla from a different medical office occasionally; she also sounds young and has an accent.

I don't get *stripper* from Perla; I get feminine. I say go with it.

I used a computer program in college called Perla so I automatically shuddered at the thought of all the papers I wrote. Lol.

Not a name I'd use but it's not bad.

 

ETA: Kind of looks like a typo to Pearl.
