I had my D&C on November 20th and I am not doing anything to prevent a pregnancy. I'm not doing OPKs or charting, but I'm not using any sort of birth control either. My doctor said that there is no need. If your body isn't ready, you won't get pregnant. If you do, your chance of miscarriage doesn't go up and the only reason they tell you to wait is so they can more easily date the pregnancy.

This. This is perfect. My OB also gave us the go ahead after first new cycle.

This fascinates me. Anyone else agree or have heard this? Better news than having to wait "3 months" b/c the waiting to try again is rough enough as it is!
We were told to wait until I have one full cycle, meaning: mc/AF/full cycle/AF/TTC. I would suggest speaking with your dr regarding how long he/she wants you to wait. Everyone is different.
BFP 09/2013....missed miscarriage diagnosed 11/27/2013 size 12weeks 3days...D&C same day.
it's our first time ttc with no success- - my dr says normally she suggest 1 cycle to give your body time to heal- and your mind. we did that with mc #2 and we just mc again the specialist says at least 2 if you've had more than one mc. honestly I don't think I'll be ready . after 3 mc and one d& c frankly I freaked!
My doctor said wait to have 3 normal periods to give the placenta time to get fully restored (I forget the exact words she used). This was after our first mc/D&C. My doc tends to err on the side of caution, as do I.
MC 13w2d D&C 01/03/2014. Miss you, my little butterfly.
Re: How long after D&C....
My OBGYN said 2 normal cycles before we could try...I hear it just depends on your situation
