Anyone else experiencing the second trimester headaches? I've had a constant headache for three days in a row. Tylenol doesn't work, and I can't sleep it off, either. My brain feels like it's in a vice!!!! ((((
Try using peppermint essential oils. My head aches have been tension headaches and rubbing a couple drops on my neck and shoulders has helped when Tylenol didn't.
Yes!!! They were absolutely horrible for a few days for me. And then I went on a super long hike. Somehow after that, they've been more dull and I don't notice them every moment. (I hope I didn't do anything bad with that hike . . . . . gee, it's too bad that I think something's wrong when I start to *feel better* . . . . )
Yes!!! I did fine in the 1st trimester but the past few weeks have been horrible. One of the worst things with tylenol is it causes rebound headaches so I try to avoid it whenever possible. Peppermint oil does help but I have to get in with a nuero soon as these are preventing me from doing anything but lay in bed or throw up.

Glad to know I'm not the only one! I've literally had a pounding headache for over a week. Nothing relieves it and while it goes away when I'm sleeping, it sucks to wake up knowing it's still there. I'll have to try the peppermint oil to see if I get any relief. Thanks for posting that.
Ugh I had a horrible headache yesterday from about 10 am until midnight. It got so bad in the afternoon that I had to miss a Christmas party I took Tylenol and drank a ton of water, but it didn't go away until I put an icepack on it while laying in bed. I think it's because I stayed out until 11 at a Christmas party the night before then got up early to host a brunch at my house in the morning. Now I know that I shouldn't overdo it. Today I spent the whole day relaxing and catching up on sleep so I feel much better. Take it easy, I know what a pain nagging headaches can be!
Have you tried Gatorade? I've seen it as one of those Pinterest miracle cures and it's been working for me. It worked for DH too (after Tylenol didn't), although obviously his headache was non-pregnancy related.
I was having such awful migraines (like throwing up in the shower at 2 am) that my OB told me to take ibuprofen for 2nd tri. I am not taking it every day or anything, but it is definitely better than Tylenol. But I should try peppermint oil too. Where does one get that?
I have been getting headaches lately also i tried tylenol but that only lasted an hour...so I decided to take a nice warm shower and that seemed to help.
So sorry you are dealing with this! I always have headaches like crazy when I'm pregnant, so I understand. If it is interfering with your ability to function, ask your doc for a prescription. You can try Inderol as a preventative and then if you have breakthroughs, they can prescribe Fioricet (works ok but has caffeine so I hate it at night) or hydrocodone (Norco). That one is better if you need to sleep, but makes some people sick. These are ok for occasional use in pregnancy. Please don't feel like you have to suffer! People who tell you to just take Tylenol and drink a coke don't really understand the agony and persistence of migraines!
Yes!! They last for hours... Honestly, I gave up using tylenol. It doesn't relieve my headaches at all so why bother making the baby ingest it?! My doc also recommended a little caffeine, which sometimes does help!
I drink a little soda when I start to get a head ache. It seems to help. I also down as much water as I can. Sex did help me a couple nights ago. I was totally relaxed after with no headache at all.
