Anyone have any advice on how to get my little girl to feel more secure/like her crib more? We tried a bassinet in our room and she didn't like that either so we are using the rock and play right now, which she loves. I think she likes that it keeps her nice and snug. But, I wanted to try and transition her to the crib soon, At least for nap times. She breaks out of swaddled like it's no ones business so that doesn't seem to help. We put her down and she screams her head off, even if she was sound asleep prior. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks
Re: Crib advice
So I've decided I'm going to really commit to this crib thing this coming week. At what point do you pick them up? Should I pat him and shoosh him and walk away. Then if he cries repeat that over and over and over again? Or after a few tries pick him up and walk him back to sleep and lay him down again? I know some of these times he will need to be fed. But it's the times I know he's just crying because he wants to be snuggled up to me that I don't know what to do. I'm worried this process is going to make him over tired. I swear If he could sleep on his tummy he would sleep for hours straight in his crib. But I'm not going to do that. Thanks for any advice y'all!
The last two nights I have been picking him up from his crib the minute he starts crying and bouncing and shooshing him for a couple minutes and laying him right back down. That has worked well so far.
