Every night before bed we talk about Santa and how many days left until he comes. We read Elmo's Night Before Christmas literally every night now (which I assume is due mostly to all my Christmas talk) and I ask him questions about what's happening, what Santa does, why he's here and he seems to get it. I'm interested to see if it'll all come together on Christmas for him. Either way, he'll also be thrilled to get a bunch of cars from Cars and Nemo and Dory stuffed animals. I also got him a kitchen, art easel and a cardboard castle but I'm putting money on him going nuts over the Cars and Nemo stuff!
Like @eyenigh, there's been a lot of Christmas talk here - talking about Santa and Christmas, reading Christmas books, etc. I don't know if it will click for him on Christmas, but I'm hopeful! I can't wait to see him to come out on Christmas morning and see all the presents around the tree.. I think he's going to be really excited! I'm also really looking forward to him seeing his own tricycle! He is obsessed with bikes, motorcycles, etc and the little boy next door has a tricycle that he's been on a few times so I know he'll love it!
We go together like a wink and a smile. June 27, 2009
I'm looking forward to seeing his face when he A gets his new cordless vacuum.. B sees the entire front room covered in balloons... he loves balloons so We're going to blow up a bag of 60+ balloons ..
We're staying home for Christmas this year and we're just going to have fun... he doesn't have a tonne of "presents" because we just get what we want when we want to..and quite honestly he could care less about Christmas at this stage. We're just wanting to have some family time, chill and have fun ...take lots of family pics and video, hang out on google vid chat and catch up with each other and family n friends...
I think I'm most excited about us spending time as a family. We don't get a lot of just family time. I think the most fun will be after Christmas watching my dd play with her new toys and seeing her imagination come out. (We got her a toy kitchen.)
I'm really excited about the Christmas Eve candlelight service and I can't wait for her to see the little table we got her. My parents are getting her a baby doll and I can't wait to see how she reacts to that - hopefully she likes it!
I'm looking forward to Christmas morning and him running into the living room and seeing his stocking filled with Elmo goodies and all his presents. He's going to get so excited!!

I feel you... that's us too. We are staying home for the first time since we got married .. not a popular decision by any stretch of the imagination.. but oh well.
I'm not sure right now. We're getting a big ice storm here. So the possibility of DH being out, putting the power back on, on Christmas is pretty high. But we got DD a toy kitchen so that will be exciting.
