MFM appointment

Was today and I feel pretty good about it. They drew 11 tubes of blood from me today to test for Factor V (blood clotting), thyroid, protein issues, Lupus and Sickle Cell. The sickle cell I know I don't have for I was tested for that many moons ago but the Lupus scares me for a lot of women who've had placental abruptions suffered from Lupus and other autoimmune diseases. They also told me that I suffered from severe early onset preeclampsia which is what most likely caused my daughters death. Even though my blood pressure was perfect the majority of my pregnancy I fell Into the group of women where preeclampsia started to show in the latter part of the second trimesters and when it's sometimes diagnosed it's to late for the baby. The Lupus or other possible auto immune diseases I could have are treatable;thankfully but it also can cause some serious issues during pregnancy. He did tell me since I suffered a placental abruption I need to know that risks of it happening again yet small the possibility is there where it can happen. He said once we conceive again and I'm 12 weeks I'll start seeing them frequently and once I hit 26 weeks I'll be in the office every week as well as on different medications depending on what the test results say. He advise me to be prepared that the results could come back negative and if so then we will be doing whatever they can to make sure he have a healthy baby. *********************************************** I'll go back to see him Jan 3rd when the results will be back and to go over them. I feel alittle at ease with going to the appointment and will feel a lot better when I see him in Jan and we go over the results. I am prepared for whatever the outcome may be even though I may or may not find out heat I want I know that I have a great team with me. On a happier note, I was called for one of the jobs I applied for and I will be touring the hospital and interviewing on Christmas Eve before I go to work. So it would be nice if in get offered the job that way when I go into work I can put my two week notice in as well as have a great Christmas gift.
